Drawings 2024

After really honing in on what makes a painting in the physical sense. I wanted to get into storytelling and really find my voice. It was a combination of going back to how I first would draw in the back of class, the front of class too. just not as freely I guess. I didn't have much to say in school cause I was taking in too much

so going back into the story of my life and the story of meeting these art materials I transmuted it into these charcoal drawings.

I usually start with a face or a hand or motion and I let the drawing come through. sometimes I set an intention of what I want the drawing to be about other times I know exactly what I want to say.
