Intertwined 2021

This Is where I really dived in, I looked at this motif of intertwined figures as a ritual almost. it was a way of getting back to how I feel in the world and how I see myself. fully complicated like everyone else. sometimes we let the world dictate how we see ourselves, a sort of spell that is casted through un-healed people. the inevitable projection of adults.

during this time I studied painters and artist of the past. Eager to jump into other worlds of creation I took it slow and stuck with the obsession of these shapes and endless compositions. I wanted to get to know certain pigments and how they move. I wanted to find what colors resonate with my eye and go deeper and deeper and deeper into what was possible with the physicality of paint as a medium.

I knew these first years of intense painting and practice would bleed into anything that followed.
